The Los Alamos Heart Council (LAHC) was formed in August of 1984 to promote heart health and wellness in our communities. As a United Way Agency we serve Los Alamos and Rio Arriba Counties. Council membership is open to anyone who wishes to help us in our work as defined by our MISSION. The Los Alamos Heart Council receives funds as a member agency of the United Way of Northern New Mexico and also accepts donations and memorials. A nine member Board of Directors, elected by the Council for 3 year terms, is responsible for the overall oversight of the Council. Meetings are held monthly on the first Wednesday evening of every month at the Los Alamos Medical Center. We are a non-profit, 501(c)(3), all volunteer organization incorporated by the State of New Mexico. If you are interested in joining the Council, please call 661-9101 or e-mail one of the officers of the Board.
